With Winter around the corner, flu season is upon us. Here are a couple of ways to help boost your immune system.
Sleep and immunity are very co-dependent therefore poor quality of sleep leads to a higher risk of sickness. As adults, we should aim for getting 7 or more hours of sleep to reduce our risk of getting sick.
Consume whole plant foods that are rich in nutrients and antioxidants. Exercise such as biking, walking, or swimming also reduces inflammation and promotes healthy immune cells.
Although hydration doesn’t protect you from germs and viruses, drinking water supports a healthy body.
Consuming foods such as vitamin C from oranges, and vitamin D from salmon, help your body receive all the nutrients it needs to stay strong.
